Hailing from Illogan, Chris is married to Lynne and currently lives in either Pool or Tehidy 

(depends whether you come from Redruth or Camborne)

with their two daughters, Sarah & Laura.

History

 Growing up in 70’s Cornwall surrounded by a wealth of local live music, Chris’ first exposure to gigging was, at the tender age of 14, roadie to his older brother who played country & western in the local pubs and clubs.

When his sister married a drummer from a rock’n’roll covers band, that was it, the seed to play like their guitarist, nicknamed Hendrix (surprise surprise), was firmly sown. Trouble was, it wasn’t as easy as it looked on Top Of The Pops and, other than learning a few chords on an old acoustic guitar, the music career took a back seat.

Leaving it till late in life and, following a holiday in the USA  that included the impulse purchase of a Fender Telecaster in a music shop in Florida, Chris decided that he was once and for all going to nail this piece of wood with 6 strings and at least get some half-decent sounds out of it, with a goal to one day playing in a band.

Following a lot of practising and a chance meeting with Rob, he attended a rehearsal for a band Rob was putting together (sounds like something from the Blues Brothers) and got the job !!!

Equipment

After many changes of equipment ( ‘yes, I know, all I can say is thank god for ebay’ )  Chris currently plays a 1976 Fender Stratocaster and an Eric Clapton Signature model through an Orange ‘Tiny Terror’ amp head but the key word here is ‘currently’ for, as one who likes to experiment, this can change at any time – just ask the others !!
